The One That Got Away

Hooking up with a big one...

The fish takes off downstream and around a truck sized boulder.

Matt decides to go for it.

It's a great rainbow, possibly the largest of the trip.

A cold front had moved in on us and we were wet wading in 53 degree water. The wind was howling through the canyon...

The wading was treacherous and my brother's Teva's did him no favors.

That moment when you take a dip in very cold water.

Priceless...

I am laughing hysterically, slowly documenting the action...

Halfway there...

Gaining some line.

The moment captured.

Swim #2

Miraculously still on the 6x.

The tide turns...

and quickly disappears.

Scanning for a glimpse...

Disappointment.

Mad vibes...
