Great flies, are those damsel nymphs that easy to see in the water? I've never noticed them.
Outstanding. Are you using thin skin or something else for the shell backs on several of them?
Great looking bugs...Looks like you've been having some fun!
AWESOME
Beautiful ties and fish. Very well done.
Impressive ties....all of them!
Nice flies!
freakin epic post!
Thanks guys!Kev- not usually, they hang out in and around vegetation in the waterRyan-thin skin and scud back, most of them coated in UV
all those ties are impressive but that tube-craw-thang looks absolutely insanely buggy.
Thank You. You have no idea how long that fly took me. Hahaha!
Good flies. Very interesting carp on fly fishing.
Beatifull! What size / type of thread do you use for the eyes. My best-so-far lame attempt at duplicating your damsel broke the thread and lost an eye. Looked awesome in the water up to that point though!
"...broke the thread and lost an eye." That happens to me if I hit something on my back cast. I use UNI-Thread 3/0 for the eyes. That holds up a lot better than the 6/0 I use for the actual fly.
